Standing Lateral Stretch

Keep your core engaged and avoid bending forward or backward. The movement should come from the side of your torso to effectively stretch the lats.

How-to-do Steps

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Raise one arm overhead and then lean to the opposite side of the raised arm, creating a stretch along the side of your torso.
  3. Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds, breathing deeply.
  4. Return to the starting position and repeat on the other side.
