IN FITAI FitAI shows your BMI range when you set your weight during onboarding.

Body fat percentage

Tracking
Also called: Body fat %, BF%

IN FITAI Pick Build Muscle as your goal and FitAI programs sets and reps for exactly this.

I

Incline / Decline

Training
Also called: Incline press, Decline push up

The angle of the exercise. Incline tilts your head up and shifts work to upper chest and shoulders. Decline tilts down and hits the lower chest. Flat is the middle ground. Same movement, different angle, different feel.

IN FITAI You will see these words in exercise names all over the library.

Intensity

Effort

How heavy the work is compared to your max. Lifting close to your limit is high intensity. Push either intensity or volume hard, rarely both at once.

N

Negatives

Training
Also called: Eccentric

IN FITAI Front and center on the Workout tab. One tap to start.

O

Also called: 1RM, Power (1RM), Best 1RM

IN FITAI The Power (1RM) chart on every exercise page tracks it from your logged sets. Watching that line climb is watching yourself get stronger.

Overtraining

Effort

Training hard more often than your body can repair. Strength drops, sleep suffers, motivation dies. Rest days are not lazy days, they are when muscle is actually built.

IN FITAI Pick 6 or 7 workout days a week and FitAI will gently warn you. The Recover tab shows when muscles need more time.

P

Personal record

Effort
Also called: PR, Personal best, New record

Your best ever result on an exercise. FitAI tracks five kinds: heaviest weight, best 1RM, max reps, max time and max distance. A record means you beat your own past. That is the whole game.

IN FITAI Break one mid workout and you get confetti, a chime and a trophy on the set row. Your first session on an exercise sets the baseline quietly.

Plateau

Effort

A stretch where progress stalls even though you keep showing up. Completely normal. Change one variable, sleep more, eat enough protein, or try a superset, and the needle moves again.

Posture

Body
Also called: Rounded shoulders, Nerd neck, Slouching

IN FITAI Ask the FitAI Assistant for a posture routine, it is a favorite request.

Primary and secondary muscles

Body
Also called: Working muscles

The primary muscle does most of the work in an exercise. Secondary muscles assist. A push up is primary chest, secondary shoulders and triceps.

IN FITAI Every exercise page lists its Working Muscles, primary and secondary, on a body figure.

Progressive overload

Effort

The golden rule of training. Ask a little more from your muscles over time. A bit more weight, one more rep, one more set. Small steps, repeated for months, build real strength.

IN FITAI The LAST column shows your previous workout. Beat it by a little. That is overload in action.

Recovery

FitAI
Also called: Muscle energy, Recover tab

After you train a muscle, it needs time to rebuild. FitAI estimates each muscle's recovery from the sets, reps and weight you logged, and shows it as an energy percentage that refills over time.

IN FITAI The Recover tab paints it on a body map. Train what is fresh, let the rest recharge.

Rep

Basics
Also called: Repetition

Effort
Also called: RIR, Reps left

IN FITAI FitAI shows the reps left meaning under every RPE value, so you learn both languages at once.

Rest

Basics
Also called: Rest time, Rest timer

The pause between sets. Your muscles recharge so the next set is strong. Beginners do well with 60 to 90 seconds.

IN FITAI The rest timer starts counting the moment you log a set and beeps when it is time to go again. Change the default in Settings, or per exercise.

IN FITAI Build your own in the Routine tab, or grab a ready one from Explore and make it yours.

RPE

Effort
Also called: Rate of perceived exertion, Effort rating

A 6 to 10 score for how hard a set felt. 6 means easy, 4 or more reps left in you. 8 means 2 reps left. 10 means you could not have done one more. Simple, honest, powerful.

IN FITAI After you log a set, a small strip asks how hard it was. One tap. Rate your working sets, skip the warm ups. Every rating makes your coach sharper.

S

Same sets

FitAI

A shortcut when editing sets: turn it on and every set of the exercise shares the same weight and reps. Change one, change all. Turn it off to shape each set separately.

IN FITAI In the set editor when you tap Modify Sets.

Set

Basics

A group of reps done back to back without stopping. Ten push ups in a row is one set of ten reps. You rest, then start the next set. Most exercises use 3 or 4 sets.

IN FITAI Each row in the workout table is one set. FitAI starts new exercises at 3 sets of 10 reps.

Set metrics

Basics
Also called: Reps, kg, time, distance, Choose metric

What a set measures. Strength moves count reps and weight. A plank counts seconds. A run counts distance and time. Step ups can even count steps. Different exercises, different numbers.

Equipment
Also called: Dowel, Broomstick

A plain light bar or broomstick used for mobility drills and learning movement patterns with zero load.

Streak

FitAI
Also called: Week streak

IN FITAI On your Account tab, right next to your workout calendar.

Strength training

Training
Also called: Resistance training, Weight training

IN FITAI One of FitAI's three exercise types, next to Cardio and Stretching.

Stretching

Training
Also called: Static stretching

Gently lengthening a muscle and holding it. Keeps you moving freely and feels great after training. Yoga and pilates moves live in this family too.

IN FITAI FitAI's third exercise type. These log duration, usually 20 to 60 seconds per hold.

Superset

Training

Two or more exercises done back to back with no rest between them. You rest only after the last one. Saves time, keeps your heart rate up and helps break through plateaus.

IN FITAI Link exercises with Superset when editing a routine. During the workout FitAI rotates you through the paired exercises automatically.

T

The speed of your reps. Slower usually means more control and more muscle time under tension. A calm 2 seconds down, 1 second up beats fast and sloppy every time.

Toned

Traps

Body
Also called: Trapezius

IN FITAI See it per workout on the result page and per exercise in the Volume chart.

W
