Press through the balls of your feet and fully extend your ankles at the top of the movement to maximize calf engagement.

How-to-do Steps

  1. Stand on the calf raise machine with the balls of your feet on the platform and your heels hanging off.
  2. Place your shoulders under the pads and stand upright.
  3. Push through the balls of your feet to raise your heels as high as possible.
  4. Pause at the top, then slowly lower your heels back down below the level of the platform.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
