Keep your arms locked out and directly overhead throughout the movement to fully engage your core and shoulder stabilizers.
How-to-do Steps
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and hold a dumbbell with both hands straight above your head.
- Brace your core and keep your chest up as you lower into a squat, pushing your hips back and down.
- Keep the weight stable overhead as you descend until your thighs are parallel to the floor.
- Drive through your heels to return to the starting position, keeping the dumbbell overhead.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
